About Devorah
Devorah Halberstam, a dynamic force in counter-terrorism fighting anti-semitism and hate, rose from personal tragedy when her son Ari was murdered by a terrorist in 1994.
A relentless activist, she compelled the FBI to reclassify his death and has since become a sought-after authority, advising national agencies and speaking globally. Devorah's advocacy led to legislative changes, notably "Ari's Law," targeting gun trafficking and the New York State Laws on Terrorism.
As the co-Founder and Director of External Affairs at the Jewish Children’s Museum which was built in Ari’s memory, she is dedicated to teaching children from all walks of life about the history and culture of the Jewish people promoting acceptance and understanding.
Awarded for her leadership, Devorah is also a prolific writer and commentator, driven by the memory of her son to combat terrorism worldwide.
